- Travis Upload & Go automates document extraction, field completion and eligibility checks for workers compensation quotes.
- A Travelers survey found that manual data entry remains a major time burden for small-business insurance agents.
- The tool's commercial impact will depend on agent adoption, quote conversion and resulting premium growth.
The Travelers Companies launched an artificial-intelligence quoting tool on October 28, 2026, aimed at independent insurance agents serving small businesses. The initiative puts faster workers compensation submissions at the center of the insurer's small-commercial strategy.
According to a Travelers press release, the product is called Travis Upload & Go. Agents can upload ACORD applications, standard industry forms and handwritten notes. The tool extracts information, prefills account and policy fields, runs eligibility checks and generates a bindable workers compensation quote in half the time, the company said.
Automation targets a workflow bottleneck
Travelers said an August survey of more than 150 small-business insurance agents identified manual data entry as a significant operational burden. Seventy-seven percent said it was among the most time-consuming and least valuable parts of their work, while 54% said it consumed at least one-quarter of their workday.
Erin Rodliff, Travelers' president of Small Commercial, said the product is intended to remove cumbersome data entry so agents can spend more time on customer relationships. The tool is available to independent agents through Travis, the company's rate, quote and issue platform for small-business insurance policies.
For investors, the launch is a process-efficiency development rather than a disclosed earnings forecast. Faster submissions could allow agents to handle more opportunities and may support workers compensation growth, but the eventual effect on premiums and profitability will depend on adoption, quote-to-policy conversion and the extent to which saved time produces additional business.
