Truist Financial expanded its Merchant Services offering on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, adding faster digital onboarding, payment insights and broader business-management and checkout tools. The company announced the move in a Truist newsroom release.

The new digital onboarding process has reduced the time from a client's decision to proceed to execution by up to 80%, according to Truist. The company said the previous process could take several days and plans to extend the new experience across additional Merchant Services solutions.

Broader tools for business clients

The expansion centers on Truist Merchant Engage, which gives clients access to merchant information and insights covering authorizations, settlements and statements. A consultant-guided process is intended to reduce manual steps while giving businesses a more unified view of payment activity.

Truist is also widening access to Clover, which combines payment acceptance with business management and customer engagement functions. Paze adds an online checkout option for eligible consumers using participating merchants. The offering is aimed at businesses including restaurants, retailers, professional-services firms, field-services companies and health care providers.

Truist said it can connect Merchant Services with deposits, treasury solutions and lending. That positions the payment platform as part of a broader commercial relationship rather than as a standalone processing product. Chris Ward, Truist's head of Enterprise Payments, said the company wants to combine payments, software and data with a deeper understanding of clients' cash flow, capital needs and growth plans.
