TUI Care Foundation's TUI Forest Mallorca project won the Adapting to Climate Change category at the 2026 Global Responsible Tourism Awards on Wednesday, November 4. The award was presented at the International Centre for Responsible Tourism Global Summit in London, according to Marketscreener, which republished TUI's announcement.

Restoration links tourism and resilience

The project is being carried out with the Government of the Balearic Islands in the Península de Llevant Natural Park in northeastern Mallorca. Its work includes planting native, fire-resistant species, restoring coastal dunes and protecting habitats affected by wildfires, land-use pressure and climate change.

The initiative also involves local communities, conservation specialists, students and tourism stakeholders. More than 1,100 people have taken part in restoration, conservation and environmental education activities. That combination gives TUI a concrete sustainability project in one of its key tourism destinations, while the award raises its visibility among partners and travelers focused on environmental resilience.

Alexander Panczuk, managing director of the TUI Care Foundation, said the recognition showed what tourism companies and public institutions can achieve through joint action. The international jury highlighted the project's links between nature conservation, visitor education and tourism development.

Four projects reach global finals

The award also broadens recognition for the foundation's wider portfolio. TUI Sea the Change Bali was a finalist in the Nature Positive category, while TUI Forest Dominican Republic and TUI Field to Fork Greece reached the Regenerative Tourism finals after winning regional Gold awards earlier in 2026. The 2026 awards included 34 global finalists from 24 countries across six categories.
