Unilever reported continued momentum in its third quarter on 28 October 2026, while also providing a more detailed update on the planned combination of its Foods business with McCormick. In its official third-quarter performance update, Unilever said underlying sales growth reached 5.2 percent, including 2.9 percent volume growth and 2.3 percent price growth.
Operational progress remains broad
Turnover increased 6.7 percent to EUR 13.3 billion. Power Brands delivered 5.8 percent underlying sales growth, while Home Care was the strongest business group with 9.1 percent growth. Emerging markets grew 9.5 percent, led by India, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
The portfolio was uneven. Foods recorded 0.1 percent underlying sales growth, with volume down 1.1 percent, as emerging-market and food-solutions growth was offset by weaker developed-market retail and competition in US condiments. Developed markets declined 0.9 percent.
New detail on the McCormick transaction
Unilever said separation and integration work for the proposed Foods combination with McCormick is progressing well. More than 200 employees are working across 20 cross-functional teams, while regulatory filings have been submitted on schedule and momentum has developed across jurisdictions. Completion remains subject to McCormick shareholder approval, regulatory clearances and other customary conditions.
Management now expects at least 3 percent underlying volume growth for full-year 2026. The company maintained its full-year underlying sales-growth range of 4 to 6 percent and continues to expect a modest improvement in underlying operating margin compared with 20.0 percent in 2025. The quarterly interim dividend is EUR 0.4664 per ordinary share.
Share price and investor context
Lang & Schwarz showed Unilever at EUR 57.29 on 29 October 2026 at 17:03 Berlin time. This was only 0.0349 percent above the EUR 57.27 quote recorded in the latest own report on 28 October, so the move does not independently qualify as the main new development.
