Vertex Pharmaceuticals reported third-quarter revenue of 3.44 billion US dollars on November 2, up 12 percent from a year earlier, and lifted its full-year outlook. The company also provided new detail on the products and acquisition costs shaping its expansion beyond cystic fibrosis.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals stock traded at 485.95 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 17:12 CET on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The real-time quote of Vertex Pharmaceuticals stock is available separately.

New products add commercial weight

CASGEVY revenue reached 99 million US dollars in the third quarter, up nearly sixfold from the year-earlier period and 30 percent from the second quarter. JOURNAVX generated 58 million US dollars, while PALSONIFY contributed 10 million US dollars in September after Vertex completed its Crinetics Pharmaceuticals acquisition.

Vertex raised its 2026 revenue guidance to 13.15 billion to 13.25 billion US dollars from 13.1 billion to 13.2 billion previously. The outlook includes at least 500 million US dollars from CASGEVY and JOURNAVX combined and 40 million to 50 million US dollars from PALSONIFY.

Acquisition costs weigh on earnings

GAAP net income fell to 654 million US dollars from 1.1 billion US dollars a year earlier. Vertex attributed the decline primarily to Crinetics-related expenses, including approximately 500 million US dollars in compensation and transaction costs. Non-GAAP net income was 1.2 billion US dollars in both periods.

The company said the acquisition established a fourth commercial pillar in rare endocrine diseases. The renal portfolio could become a fifth if the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approves povetacicept for IgA nephropathy. The application has priority review and a November 30, 2026 target action date, supported by interim Phase 3 RAINIER results.
