- Management expects to clear net debt and rebuild capacity for new precious-metals streams.
- Third-quarter results are scheduled for November 5 after the market close.
- The planned capacity includes borrowing under Wheaton's credit lines rather than committed acquisitions.
Wheaton Precious Metals is entering its next reporting date with a new capital-allocation roadmap. In an interview published by The Northern Miner on October 28, President and CEO Haytham Hodaly said Wheaton expects to repay its debt and have USD 4 billion available for new deals by the end of next year.
Debt reduction comes first
Hodaly said Wheaton is generating more than USD 250 million in monthly free cash flow and has USD 1.9 billion in net debt to clear. The USD 4 billion capacity includes potential borrowing under the company's credit lines, so it represents financial headroom rather than committed acquisitions.
The streaming model remains central: Wheaton provides mining companies with upfront funding in exchange for future deliveries of precious-metals byproducts. Hodaly identified large copper projects in Latin America as a potential source of opportunities but ruled out buying copper streams, keeping the growth focus on precious-metals exposure.
Results will test execution
Wheaton is scheduled to release third-quarter 2026 results after the market close on Thursday, November 5, followed by a conference call on Friday, November 6. Investors will look for production, cash generation and evidence that balance-sheet capacity can translate into new streams.
