- Cardano's Dijkstra development is moving through testnet preparation, while the mainnet activation date remains unset.
- ADA was quoted at USD 0.1937 on October 31, 2026, at 22:52:55 Berlin time, 2.06 percent above the October 30 UTC daily close.
- Node 11.2 covers Dijkstra features but does not yet include the separate Leios scaling work.
The Cardano price is in focus as the network moves toward its planned Dijkstra upgrade. The development is progressing through testing and release preparation, but it has not yet become a mainnet activation event. For investors, the distinction matters because the technical roadmap is advancing while the timing of a production rollout remains open.
Dijkstra work advances on test networks
In a Cardano update dated October 9, Intersect said node 11.2 was intended to carry the full Dijkstra feature set apart from Leios and launch the public DijkstraNet. The same update said node 11.3 was intended to bring Dijkstra together with linear Leios in a hard-fork release candidate.
A separate Performance and Tracing Update from October 29 described ongoing work in preparation for Node 11.2. The team reported fixes for community-reported bugs and new Dijkstra-focused benchmark profiles for nested transactions and reference-script-based Plutus calls. It also said Leios performance findings were still being refined and did not represent an official release candidate.
ADA remains below USD 0.20
Investing.com showed ADA at USD 0.1937 at 22:52:55 Berlin time on October 31, 2026. The page displayed a 24-hour volume of USD 430.14 million, a market capitalization of USD 7.15 billion and a rank of 15. Its quoted daily change was plus 0.69 percent, a measure that is not the same as the UTC daily-close comparison used here.
For that comparison, Kinzan recorded an October 30 UTC daily close of USD 0.1898. Against that basis, the latest Investing.com quote was 2.06 percent higher, calculated as USD 0.1937 divided by USD 0.1898 minus one. The move is below the threshold at which a daily price change alone would be the main story, so the upgrade timetable remains the more relevant context.
What investors should monitor next
The next material milestones are the completion of Node 11.2 testing, the transition of DijkstraNet into its planned protocol era and subsequent governance steps for any mainnet activation. Leios is being developed separately, meaning investors should not treat Dijkstra testnet progress as proof that the larger scaling upgrade is already live. The Cardano price therefore continues to reflect both broader crypto-market conditions and expectations around the project's delivery of its roadmap.
