- CME Group reported the first block trade in Bitcoin Cash futures on October 20, 2026.
- Kinzan quoted BCH at 274.70 USD at 09:18 UTC on November 4, with a 24-hour decline of 0.95 percent.
- The futures launch expands regulated access, but early trading data does not yet establish its long-term effect on BCH demand.
The Bitcoin Cash price was quoted at 274.70 USD at 09:18 UTC on November 4, 2026, according to Kinzan. The data provider showed BCH down 0.95 percent over the preceding 24 hours. The reading is time-stamped and should not be treated as a Berlin-time closing price: Bitcoin Cash trades continuously, including outside traditional exchange sessions.
CME adds regulated BCH exposure
The relevant market development is the launch of Bitcoin Cash futures at CME Group. In a press release dated October 20, 2026, CME said FalconX and GSR executed the first block trade in its new Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures. CME also stated that the contracts are listed on and subject to the rules of CME.
For investors, the change is primarily one of market infrastructure. Futures can provide a regulated route for hedging or gaining exposure without requiring a participant to hold BCH directly. That may broaden the range of institutions able to trade the asset, but the first block trade alone does not show how deep or durable demand will become.
Price remains the immediate reference
The Bitcoin Cash price was trading within a 24-hour range of 266.94 to 277.50 USD in Kinzan's November 4 data. Kinzan also reported 20-day volatility of 3.08 percent, placing the latest move within the provider's ordinary-session assessment. These figures describe market behaviour, not a forecast, and do not establish a causal link between the CME launch and BCH's price.
Bitcoin Cash's project website presents the network as a peer-to-peer payment system and directs users to exchange and developer resources. The investment case therefore still depends on the interaction between payment use, liquidity, broader crypto-market conditions and access to derivatives. The new CME contracts improve the available trading infrastructure, while adoption and sustained liquidity remain separate questions.
