The Ethena USDe price remained close to its one-dollar target on November 7. The Investing.com course page displayed USDe at 1.000 USD, with a 1.000 to 1.000 intraday range, 23.79 million USD in 24-hour volume and a market capitalization of 4.59 billion USD. Lending approval moves toward trading
The relevant recent development is Ethena's October 29 institutional-lending framework. As reported by CryptoSlate on November 3, the framework allows Ethena's trading team to approve qualifying borrowers of assets backing USDe without a separate vote by the Risk Committee. The committee retains oversight and can call in a borrower when a stated eligibility criterion is not met.
The published route requires, among other conditions, full recourse to the borrower or a parent guarantee, jurisdiction and standing checks, sanctions screening, segregated third-party custody and verifiable daily collateral reports. A missed margin call, default or deterioration in standing is intended to stop new lending to the counterparty and trigger escalation.
Transparency remains the key variable
The framework permits Bitcoin, Ether and other specified assets as collateral, while excluding USDe, sUSDe, ENA, USDtb and assets issued by the borrower. CryptoSlate noted that the public text sets no numerical aggregate lending cap or per-borrower concentration ceiling. It also reported that a November 1 dashboard capture did not show current borrower balances, concentration data or collateral ratios. For holders, that limits the ability to assess live credit exposure from the published material.
Separate reporting by Crypto Economy said Ethena disclosed approximately 8.8 million USD of unrealized profit-and-loss exposure to Binance on October 29. The report said this was below an excess reserve fund of more than 60 million USD and that collateral was held through institutional custodians rather than directly in Binance exchange wallets. It also described backing above 101 percent according to independent verification cited by Ethena.
What USDe holders should watch
With the Ethena USDe price near its target, the immediate question is less about ordinary price volatility than about the quality and visibility of backing. Borrower-level balances, collateral values, lending concentration and the operation of committee oversight remain important indicators for evaluating redemption and counterparty risk.
