Ethereum price was listed at 2,239.83 USD on the checked Investing.com page. The page also showed a 24-hour trading volume of 17.60 billion USD, a market capitalization of 274.18 billion USD and a market rank of 2. TokenPost reported a UTC daily close of 2,235.77 USD for November 5, putting the checked reading 0.18 percent above that comparison level.
ETF flows offer limited relief
US spot Ether exchange-traded funds recorded 53.0 million USD in net inflows on November 4, according to TokenPost. The inflow ended seven consecutive fund sessions of withdrawals from October 26 through November 3. Those withdrawals included 155.7 million USD on October 30, 139.7 million USD on November 2 and 85.3 million USD on November 3.
The positive session should not be treated as proof of a sustained recovery in institutional demand. TokenPost notes that the November 4 flow and the November 5 UTC closing price are separate daily measures. For investors, the relevant distinction is between a single positive flow day and a broader sequence of creations that would indicate more persistent demand.
Upgrade timing remains unresolved
Ethereum's development roadmap also carries a dated uncertainty. The Ethereum Foundation said on October 22 that the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Hoodi testnet had been postponed. The previously planned October 26 activation was removed while developers investigated interactions between EIP-8037 and mainnet smart contracts. No replacement activation date has been announced.
The Foundation said the change concerns Hoodi and does not set a mainnet activation date. Glamsterdam is intended to advance Ethereum's Layer 1 roadmap through changes including enshrined proposer-builder separation, block-level access lists and revised gas pricing. The postponement therefore affects testnet scheduling rather than requiring action from mainnet users or ETH holders.
What investors should watch
Near-term interpretation remains split between market demand and protocol execution. The Ethereum price reading is close to the November 5 UTC benchmark, while ETF data shows one inflow session following a pronounced withdrawal streak. Future ETF sessions and a new Hoodi schedule will provide more information than either signal alone. This is market context, not a buy or sell recommendation.
