The euro fell 0.6 percent to USD 1.119, according to Reuters.
Single stocks
Infineon was the weakest Euro Stoxx 50 member, falling 5.77 percent. Deutsche Bank dropped 4.94 percent and UniCredit lost 3.95 percent. Deutsche Telekom rose 2.20 percent, while adidas gained 1.10 percent, according to finanzen.ch.

For the next session, investors will assess the European Central Bank accounts from its September meeting, scheduled for release on October 8, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. CEST, according to Admiral Markets. The US Treasury is also scheduled to hold a 30-year bond auction on Thursday, a test for demand after the rise in long-term yields, Reuters reported.
