IDX Composite closes 0.75 percent lower at 6,146.72 as rebound fades

Course of the session
The index opened at 6,210.42 and reached an intraday high of 6,214.76 before falling to 6,136.19. It finished 46.20 points below Tuesday's close of 6,192.93, a move confirmed by Kompas.
Market breadth weakened during the session: 378 stocks declined, 258 advanced and 157 were unchanged, according to Warta Ekonomi.
Drivers and market focus
The decline followed a strong Tuesday advance, when lower crude prices, stronger regional equities and a World Bank growth projection for Indonesia had supported sentiment. Jakarta Globe reported that Brent crude had fallen 1.9 percent and that the World Bank projected 5.2 percent Indonesian growth in 2026 and 2027.
Investors also watched Indonesia's September foreign-exchange reserves, scheduled for release on October 7, and the Federal Reserve's September meeting minutes, due at 1:00 a.m. WIB on October 8, according to CNBC Indonesia.

Consumer confidence data is scheduled for October 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. WIB, with a forecast of 118.0 versus 118.5 previously, according to Kiwoom Sekuritas.
