- XMR was listed at 629.520 USD on Investing.com when checked on November 6, 2026.
- A November 5 historical-price record listed a reference close of 620.06 USD.
- FCMP++ stressnet version 3.1 was released on October 26, with no announced mainnet activation date.
- A Wagyu swap-service data leak exposed off-chain order information, not Monero's blockchain cryptography.
Monero price was listed at 629.520 USD on Investing.com when checked on November 6, 2026. The page showed a 24-hour change of 0.47 percent, a daily range of 623.067 to 646.600 USD and a 52-week range of 277.507 to 798.868 USD. Because the displayed percentage is an intraday comparison, it is not presented as the UTC daily move.
A separate November price-history record listed 620.06 USD for November 5. Against that reference, the latest Investing.com snapshot was higher, although the two readings represent different market-data pages and time points. Investing.com also displayed 11.94 billion USD in market capitalization, a rank of 12, 192.17 million USD in 24-hour volume and 18.83 million XMR in circulation.
FCMP++ remains in testing
The most relevant recent protocol development is the FCMP++ and Carrot stressnet. According to CryptoTicker, version 3.1 was released on October 26. The test release addressed a detectable inflation vulnerability on the experimental network, added protection against denial-of-service attacks during transaction relay and improved wallet synchronization. Hardware wallets, multisig and transaction proofs were not yet supported on the stressnet.
FCMP++ is intended to expand transaction-hiding membership proofs from a limited ring of decoys to eligible outputs across the blockchain. That could strengthen Monero's privacy design if testing succeeds, but the upgrade has not been activated on mainnet. CryptoTicker reported that no mainnet activation date had been announced. For investors, the distinction matters: the current XMR network is not receiving the upgrade merely because its stressnet is being tested.
Off-chain data risk remains separate
The same CryptoTicker report covered a confirmed data leak at the Wagyu.xyz swap service. It said 4,580 completed Monero orders were linked to receiving addresses and IP addresses in the exposed dataset, based on an analysis by Hudson Rock. The report emphasized that the incident concerned service-provider records outside the blockchain and did not demonstrate a failure of Monero's cryptography. The practical risk is targeted phishing and the possible linking of a user's activity through retained service data.
Monero's own project website describes XMR as a private, decentralized cryptocurrency and points users toward wallets, exchanges and payment use. That design proposition remains central to the investment case, but access restrictions, third-party custody and operational privacy can materially affect users even when the base protocol is functioning as intended.
