The Solana price was quoted at USD 89.88 at 11:01 UTC on November 7, 2026, according to Kinzan. That was 0.27% below the USD 90.12 reading recorded at 00:00 UTC on the same day. The move remains well below the 5% threshold at which a daily change alone would qualify as the main focus under this report's format.
Protocol changes add technical support
Solana completed two major protocol changes in October. The target slot time was reduced to 200 milliseconds on October 9. On October 21, Alpenglow went live on mainnet, replacing TowerBFT consensus with a protocol targeting finality of approximately 150 milliseconds.
The Solana Foundation said the October upgrades were accompanied by a record USD 5 billion in real-world asset value. Its roundup also reported USD 60 billion in decentralized exchange volume, 14 million stablecoin-holding addresses and USD 8.94 billion in stablecoin loan volume during the month.
Adoption broadens beyond trading
The Foundation's account points to a wider set of use cases for the network. J.P. Morgan Asset Management brought two tokenized money market funds to Solana, while Securitize launched tokenized stocks for eligible investors. Samsung also announced USDC transfers in Samsung Wallet for eligible users in the United States, and Fiserv's Digital Asset Platform went live with transactions settling on Solana.
These developments do not automatically translate into demand for SOL. They do, however, expand the network's potential sources of activity beyond speculative trading. SOL remains the native token used for transaction fees and staking, so sustained application, payment and settlement activity could be relevant to investors over time.
Market context remains cautious
Kinzan's data put SOL's 20-day volatility at 2.47% and its 24-hour range at USD 89.76 to USD 90.85 at the time of its reading. The token therefore remained within a relatively ordinary daily range rather than registering a new extreme. The Solana price was also below its recent September high of USD 122.06 shown in Kinzan's historical series, underscoring the gap between current levels and the latest multi-month peak.
For investors, the central question is whether network upgrades and broader tokenized-asset use can develop into persistent demand. The available data support a constructive infrastructure narrative, but they do not establish a direct short-term effect on SOL's market price.
