Chainlink (LINK) added data feeds to Stellar on October 14, extending its oracle service, which supplies external data to blockchains, to another network. The Stellar Development Foundation announced the launch through the Chainlink Scale program, according to CryptoTicker.

Stellar feeds add a new network

The October 14 integration lets applications on Stellar use continuously updated price readings without building their own data supply, according to CryptoTicker. The report said the Stellar Development Foundation will cover the operating cost under Chainlink Scale, while the feeds can cover assets including Bitcoin, Ether, LINK, XLM and USDC.

Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, is separate from the data feeds: CCIP handles transfers between blockchain networks, while data feeds publish information for smart contracts. The Stellar rollout also follows Chainlink's CCIP Vault Adapters launch on October 8, which supports deposits into decentralized finance vaults from more than 80 networks, according to CoinCentral.

ETF inflows meet measured address growth

Two U.S. spot funds recorded 9.48 million USD in inflows on October 9, with the full amount going to Grayscale's GLNK product, according to CryptoTicker. The same report said the funds had recorded five sessions with zero movement before that inflow.

Network activity showed a smaller change in new Ethereum-based LINK addresses. Crypto.news reported an average of 1,249 new addresses per day during the four weeks through October 6, compared with 1,225 per day in the preceding four-week period; the increase was less than 2 percent, according to Crypto.news.
