TA-35 closes 2.44 percent lower as NextVision slide continues

NextVision leads the decline
NextVision fell 11.39 percent to 18,900 points after losing more than 12 percent in the previous session. Tower Semiconductor dropped 6.11 percent and Camtek declined 7.58 percent. Globes said the insurance and technology sectors were among the weakest, with their sector indexes falling 4.32 percent and 3.54 percent, respectively.
The day's advance was led by OPC Energy, which rose 2.56 percent. Danya Cebus gained 3.45 percent, Cellcom added 2.57 percent and Gilat Satellite Systems advanced 2.46 percent. Decliners outnumbered advancers 411 to 73, with 76 stocks unchanged, according to Investing.com.
Market environment
Globes reported that the Tel Aviv Defense Index fell 4.35 percent. The representative USD/ILS rate rose 0.69 percent to 3.0740, while the representative EUR/ILS rate gained 0.11 percent to 3.4361. Investing.com reported Brent crude at USD 101.75 a barrel and December gold futures at USD 4,130.12 an ounce.

Israel's September business confidence data is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. IDT on October 8, according to Trading Economics. The same calendar lists September inflation data for October 15 at 3:30 p.m. IDT.
