Aena Group airports handled 41,381,404 passengers in August 2026, an increase of 4.7 percent from the same month a year earlier, according to Aena. The group also handled 330,526 aircraft movements, up 4.5 percent, and transported 116,723 tonnes of freight, down 5.7 percent year over year.
From January through August, passenger traffic across the group reached 272,247,393, up 4.1 percent from the same period in 2025. Aena's Spanish airport network recorded 34,890,784 passengers in August, also 4.7 percent more than a year earlier, while its Brazilian airports handled 3,981,410 passengers, up 3.2 percent.
