In a September 8, 2026 release, Agnico Eagle Mines Limited said its wholly owned subsidiary, Agnico Eagle (USA) Limited, had agreed to sell the Delta base and precious metal project and the Helm Bay gold project to Vizsla Copper. The transaction was subject to closing conditions, including approval from the TSX Venture Exchange, and was expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Under the agreement, Agnico Eagle was to receive 22,523,283 Vizsla Copper common shares at closing, 2,903,490 deferred shares subject to shareholder approval, 3,041,480 warrants exercisable at C$1.95 per share for two years, and royalties of 2.0 percent on Delta and 3.0 percent on Helm Bay. The release valued the consideration shares at approximately C$32,037,734 and also described potential milestone payments totaling C$20,000,000 tied to Delta.
