A350F completes maiden flight
In a September 29 release, Airbus said its A350F freighter, identified as MSN 700, completed its first flight. The aircraft flew for 4 hours and 10 minutes and reached an altitude of 25,000 feet.
Airbus said the flight marked the start of a flight-test campaign lasting more than nine months. The second prototype, MSN 701, was at an advanced stage of final assembly and was expected to enter the paint shop in the following weeks.
The company said the A350F has a range capability of up to 8,700 kilometers and a payload of up to 111 tonnes. At the end of August 2026, the freighter had recorded 115 orders from 14 disclosed customers, according to the same release.
