America Movil stock after-hours: Brazil acquisition completed

America Movil stock is in focus after its Brazilian subsidiary Claro NXT finalized the acquisition of a 72.83 percent controlling stake in Brazilian telecommunications provider Desktop. Telecompaper reported that the transaction was completed on October 1, 2026.

Planned tender offer

Following completion, Claro NXT plans to submit a request to Brazil's Securities and Exchange Commission to conduct a unified tender offer for remaining Desktop shares. The offer would facilitate the transfer of control and support changes to Desktop's registration and listing status, according to Telecompaper.
