Codeshare partnership expands Taipei options
In a September 24, 2026 release, American Airlines Newsroom said American Airlines and STARLUX Airlines had launched a codeshare partnership connecting North America with Taipei.
American said it would place its code on STARLUX-operated flights to Taipei Taoyuan International Airport from Los Angeles, Ontario, San Francisco and Seattle. A planned American codeshare between Phoenix and Taipei remained subject to regulatory approvals.
Select flights were available for booking on September 24 for travel beginning September 30. The release said AAdvantage members booking an American codeshare flight operated by STARLUX can earn miles and Loyalty Points, while customers can choose among Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class options on STARLUX.
