Berlin hotel leases

In a September 24, 2026 release, Aroundtown said it had leased two hotels at Berlin’s Alexanderplatz to Leonardo Hotels. Leonardo Hotels Central Europe is taking over operations of the former H2 and H4 hotels, which together have 624 rooms and suites.

Aroundtown said Leonardo Hotels extended each lease to a 20-year term. The former H2 Hotel is operating as Leonardo Smart Berlin Alexanderplatz, while the former H4 Hotel is operating as Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz by Leonardo Hotels. The company said the Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz has 336 rooms and suites and the Leonardo Smart Berlin Alexanderplatz has 288 rooms.
