Astera Labs expands Leo product family
In a September 15, 2026, release, Astera Labs announced three memory connectivity solutions: the Leo X-Series and the Leo 2 E-Series and P-Series. The company said the products extend its Leo Smart Memory Controller family across fabric-attached GPU memory, CPU-attached expansion, and pooled or shared memory architectures.
Astera Labs said the Leo 2 E-Series and P-Series support DDR4 and DDR5 memory expansion with PCIe 6 connectivity and CXL 3.2 support. The company also said the new E-Series and P-Series double memory bandwidth and capacity compared with the previous generation.
Performance claims and sampling
Astera Labs said internal testing of the Leo X-Series showed up to 62 percent faster time to first token and up to 22 percent more tokens per second in a specified test configuration. The company said the expanded Leo family was sampling with hyperscaler customers as of the release date.
