Oaktree fund reaches $2 billion
On October 1, 2026, Brookfield Asset Management announced the final close of Oaktree’s Asset-Backed Finance Fund, with $2 billion of commitments across the fund and related investment vehicles, according to the company’s press release.
The company said the fund attracted institutional investors, including U.S. public pension plans and sovereign wealth funds. Oaktree’s broader asset-backed finance platform has invested more than $19 billion, while Brookfield’s broader asset-based finance platform totals more than $60 billion, the release said.
Asset-backed finance strategy
The fund provides flexible capital solutions to originators across equipment leasing, transportation, consumer, real estate and infrastructure, according to Brookfield Asset Management’s release.
