On September 1, 2026, Bunge Global SA announced an agreement to sell its Rio Vermelho and Nova Unialco sugarcane mills in Brazil to COFCO International, according to the company's investor-relations release.
The mills are located in Junqueirópolis and Guararapes in São Paulo state. Bunge said the assets formerly belonged to Viterra and became part of Bunge when the companies' business combination closed in July 2025.
