Debt tender offers expanded
CenterPoint Energy Resources Corp. (CERC), an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of CenterPoint Energy, Inc., reported early results for its previously announced cash tender offers on September 22, 2026. The subsidiary increased the maximum aggregate purchase price from USD 350.00 million to USD 400.00 million and eliminated the previously announced tender cap for its 2034 notes, according to the company release.
As of the early tender date, CERC said holders had tendered USD 9.07 million of its 2047 notes, USD 274.49 million of its 2032 notes, USD 300.47 million of its 2034 notes and USD 149.97 million of its 2028 notes. The offers were scheduled to expire at 5:00 p.m. New York City time on October 6, 2026, unless extended or terminated earlier, the release said.
DOE selects Houston grid project
CenterPoint Energy said September 24, 2026, that the U.S. Department of Energy selected it for a USD 50.00 million award supporting advanced substation technology upgrades. The award remains subject to final negotiations with the DOE and is intended to support electric reliability, resiliency and additional capacity in the Greater Houston area, according to the company release distributed by PR Newswire.
