Fiscal fourth-quarter sales increased 11.2 percent
In its September 24 investor-relations release, Costco said fourth-quarter net sales rose 11.2 percent to $93.9 billion from $84.4 billion a year earlier. Total comparable sales increased 9.4 percent, while digitally enabled comparable sales rose 19.5 percent.
Net income for the 16-week quarter was $2.998 billion, or $6.75 per diluted share, compared with $2.610 billion, or $5.87 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter. Costco said the latest quarter included a non-recurring benefit of $0.15 per diluted share from IEEPA tariff refunds, partly offset by reinvestment in member value.
For the 52-week fiscal year, Costco reported net sales of $297.2 billion and net income of $9.226 billion, compared with $269.9 billion and $8.099 billion, respectively, in fiscal 2025.
