The update addresses monitoring on platforms where engineering teams have less control over the frontend runtime.
For Shopify, Datadog described a setup that lets ecommerce teams follow a shopper’s journey from storefront browsing through checkout to purchase confirmation. The company said teams can track checkout funnels, identify checkout page views, clicks and user-interface extension errors, and segment users by checkout completion or abandonment.
For Salesforce Experience Cloud, Datadog said it provides a Salesforce-specific bundle for Real User Monitoring and Product Analytics under Lightning Web Security. The company described capabilities including navigation-based view names, supported console and custom error capture, clicks and custom actions. The post said these signals can help teams examine user activity and friction in Salesforce experiences.
