September update
In a September 17 trading update, Drax said its full-year 2026 expectations for Adjusted EBITDA were around the top of the range of consensus estimates. The company said the outlook included the contribution from Bluefield Solar Income Fund, or BSIF, from August 1, 2026, and continued strong operational performance in July and August.
Drax said it completed the BSIF acquisition on July 31, 2026, for GBP 561 million, with an enterprise value of GBP 1,082 million. The acquired portfolio included approximately 0.8 gigawatts of solar and 0.1 gigawatts of onshore wind across more than 250 assets, while its development pipeline totaled approximately 2.9 gigawatts of battery energy storage and solar projects.
The company said its 2026 capital-expenditure expectation remained GBP 210 million to GBP 250 million, including the BSIF portfolio. Drax also reported more than GBP 1 billion of contracted forward power sales for 2026 through 2028 as of September 15, 2026.
