PFAS settlement announced
On September 10, 2026, DuPont announced that it had entered into a settlement with the State of North Carolina and 11 local entities, together with Chemours and Corteva, to resolve PFAS-related claims and claims involving other historical discharges from the Fayetteville Works facility. The settlement provides for aggregate payments of USD 455 million over 15 years. DuPont said the pre-tax present value of its share is approximately USD 126 million, with 44 percent to be reimbursed by Qnity Electronics and the amount materially covered by existing accruals. DuPont said the settlement also covers certain claims unrelated to Fayetteville Works, including claims involving aqueous film-forming foam.
Tyvek product launch
On September 15, 2026, DuPont announced the global launch of Tyvek with Renewable Attribution for consumer and industrial applications. The product is intended for uses including active packaging, tags and labels, race bibs, wristbands and industrial packaging. DuPont said customers can select renewable attribution levels from 30 percent to 100 percent, linked to ISCC PLUS-certified bio-circular material on a mass-balance basis. DuPont said the material is produced to the same product specifications as conventional Tyvek and is designed as a drop-in solution without requalification for existing users.
