On October 1, Eli Lilly and Company announced results from post-hoc analyses of the ATTAIN-1 Phase 3 trial. According to the company’s release, modeling showed estimated reductions in predicted 10-year type 2 diabetes risk of 45.0 percent, 50.0 percent and 57.0 percent versus placebo at 72 weeks for Foundayo doses of 5.5 milligrams, 9 milligrams and 17.2 milligrams, respectively.
The company also said the 17.2-milligram dose was associated with an estimated 18.0 percent reduction in predicted cardiovascular disease risk versus placebo. The analyses covered adults with obesity or overweight and a weight-related medical problem who did not have diabetes.
