He Dreiht wind farm inaugurated
EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG and its partners inaugurated the He Dreiht offshore wind farm on September 17, 2026, according to an EnBW press release. The project in the German North Sea has 64 turbines and 960 megawatts of installed capacity, making it Germany’s largest offshore wind farm. EnBW said the wind farm can cover the annual electricity needs of the equivalent of around 1.1 million households.
EnBW also said it is rolling out XCharge C7 high-power chargers with charging capacity of up to 480 kilowatts across its German fast-charging network, according to a separate company release. Depending on the vehicle, the technology can add up to 640 kilometers of range in 20 minutes, the company said.
