Harbinger announces electric-truck order
PR Newswire reported on September 30 that Harbinger had received an order from FedEx for 2,000 all-electric trucks valued at more than $300 million. The vehicles are planned for delivery by the end of 2027 and are intended for FedEx pickup and delivery operations in the United States and Canada.
Harbinger said the vehicles will replace conventional trucks on a one-for-one basis. The manufacturer estimated that the fleet could generate approximately $40 million in annual fuel savings, or $800 million over a typical 20-year service life. Harbinger also said it plans to build and deliver all 2,000 vehicles within approximately 18 months.
