September trading update

In a September 7, 2026 trading update covering the 11 months ended August 2026, Grainger’s RNS release said occupancy in its build-to-rent portfolio remained at least 96.00 percent, while like-for-like build-to-rent rental growth was 3.00 percent.

The company said three committed build-to-rent schemes were progressing in line with expectations and were expected to support 35.00 percent earnings growth from FY25 to FY29. The update also said GBP 120 million of investment remained across that committed pipeline.

Grainger said its secured pipeline had planning consent for 2,044 homes across seven sites. It also reported planning permission for a 425-home Cambridge North Residential Quarter scheme delivered in partnership with Network Rail’s Platform4 and blocwork. Grainger said it planned to reduce net debt by GBP 300 million to GBP 350 million by the end of FY29.
