2026 earnings outlook raised
In an EQS-distributed announcement dated September 28, 2026, Hapag-Lloyd AG said its Executive Board had further raised the company's outlook for financial year 2026. Group EBITDA is now expected at USD 3.90 billion to USD 4.40 billion, compared with the previous range of USD 2.70 billion to USD 3.70 billion. Group EBIT is expected at USD 1.25 billion to USD 1.75 billion, versus the previous range of USD 0.10 billion to USD 1.10 billion. The company also gave euro equivalents of EUR 3.40 billion to EUR 3.80 billion for EBITDA and EUR 1.10 billion to EUR 1.50 billion for EBIT. Hapag-Lloyd attributed the revision to continued strong market demand and the positive development of spot freight rates, while cautioning that volatile freight rates and geopolitical challenges left the forecast subject to a high degree of uncertainty.
