Data center partnership
On September 16, 2026, Hitachi, Ltd. and Mission Critical Group announced a memorandum of understanding for a strategic partnership. According to the Business Wire release, the companies plan to jointly develop solutions to expand Hitachiâs HMAX Data Center portfolio and pursue cross-selling of energy solutions and products.
The release said the collaboration will combine Hitachiâs energy and digital capabilities with MCGâs modular power infrastructure expertise. Planned areas include equipment monitoring, artificial-intelligence analytics, predictive maintenance and energy-management optimization.
HMAX portfolio expansion
In a September 3, 2026 release, Business Wire reported that Hitachi expanded HMAX by adding HMAX Data Center as a domain-specific solution for data center operators. Hitachi also introduced HMAX Cyber, HMAX Data Fabric and HMAX AI Operations as foundry solutions supporting physical-AI initiatives and enterprise systems.
The company said HMAX Data Center is designed to support the autonomous operation and maintenance of data center infrastructure, including monitoring of power, information-technology and cooling facilities.
