In an announcement distributed by Business Wire, IFF said it had introduced AQUASCENT, a vegan, water-based carrier for fine fragrance. The company said the technology uses a proprietary formula made with biodegradable materials and supports fragrance loads from 10 percent to up to 25 percent, compared with up to 15 percent for most comparable systems. IFF also said the carrier can be supplied as a concentrate, allowing brands to add water during final production rather than transport it as part of the formula.
