National Bank of Canada stock after-hours: Bank approves 10 million-share buyback

Buyback schedule
The issuer bid will be effective on October 8, 2026, and will end no later than October 7, 2027. National Bank Financial Inc. will act as the designated broker, and shares acquired under the program will be cancelled, according to the issuer’s release.
Repurchase limits
Under Toronto Stock Exchange requirements, the bank may repurchase up to 331,793 common shares on the same trading day, excluding purchases made under the block purchase exception. That limit represents 25% of the average daily trading volume over the six completed calendar months cited by the bank, according to the company announcement.
