Hydro details Illvatn investment
In a release published September 29, Hydro said its Illvatn pumped-storage hydropower project in Norway carries an investment framework of NOK 2.5 billion. The project is expected to increase gross annual production by 210 GWh and net renewable power production by 107 GWh, with operations planned to begin in the second quarter of 2030. Hydro said the project is its largest hydropower investment in more than 20 years.
Wind farm compensation expected
In a September 28 release, Hydro said it expects to receive approximately EUR 28 million in compensation after the sale of the Swedish Cloud Snurran wind farm. The amount remains subject to customary closing adjustments, and completion of the sale is expected in mid-October 2026. Hydro said the compensation relates to a settlement connected with the voluntary termination of a long-term power purchase agreement.
