Pertamina Gas Negara stock: PGN plans biomethane integration

Biomethane project in South Sumatra
PGN is collaborating with PT Toyota Tsusho Indonesia and PT KIS Biofuels Indonesia on a facility using palm oil mill waste as feedstock. The plant, developed by the two partners, targets annual biomethane production of approximately 150,000 MMBTU.
PGN’s role in the project
PGN attended the facility’s groundbreaking ceremony in North Musi Rawas, South Sumatra, on October 5, 2026. Under the partnership, PGN will act as the primary buyer and transporter, with biomethane from PT KIS Toyota Tsusho Biomethane Indonesia intended for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia and other industrial customers through PGN’s pipeline network.
PGN Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman said the project would support the introduction of renewable gas from domestic sources into Indonesia’s energy supply chain.
