P-80 platform begins voyage to Brazil
Petrobras said on September 30 that its P-80 platform, also known as Búzios 9, left the Tuas Boulevard Yard in Singapore bound for the Búzios field in Brazil's Santos Basin. The company said the unit can produce 225,000 barrels of oil and process 12 million cubic meters of gas per day.
Petrobras said P-80 is the first of a series of large platforms to leave the shipyard, with P-82 next in line and in the final construction stage. Both platforms are expected to begin production in 2027. The company also said the other platforms in the series are intended for the Búzios, Atapu and Sépia fields.
