Expanded Sanofi antibody alliance
On October 1, 2026, Regeneron and Sanofi announced an expansion of their long-standing antibody collaboration. The agreement adds four Regeneron-invented, long-acting antibodies targeting IL-13, IL-4xIL-13, IL-4 and IL-4 receptor alpha. Regeneron will receive an upfront payment of USD 1 billion and could receive up to an additional USD 7 billion in development, regulatory and commercial milestones. The companies will share development and commercialization costs and split future profits from the new products equally, according to Regeneron.
Clinical pipeline updates
Regeneron also reported October 1 results from the Phase 2 COURAGE trial of trevogrumab with semaglutide. In a predefined MRI substudy, lower-dose trevogrumab preserved almost 70 percent of thigh muscle that otherwise would have been lost with semaglutide alone. The company said it plans to initiate a Phase 2 study in older adults with obesity and decreased muscle mass or strength, according to Regeneron.
