Roche Holding stock after-hours: Pharma Day highlights AI-driven R&D plans

Roche Holding’s September 28 Pharma Day in London focused on pharmaceutical strategy, commercial growth drivers, research and development, digitalization, and pipeline updates across several therapeutic areas, according to the company’s investor-relations page.
AI and pipeline plans
At the event, Roche outlined plans to build autonomous AI-driven laboratories to accelerate research and development discovery. The company said about CHF 2 billion from research and development savings would be reallocated to programs and productivity initiatives by 2026, while it aims to bring up to 20 new molecular entities to market by 2030, Reuters reported.
Roche also reported that its Phase III success rate was above 80 percent year to date in 2026, compared with 65 percent in 2025. The company said its Target Nexus AI tool is on track to contribute to 80 percent of research portfolio decisions by the end of 2026, Reuters said.
