Solar project commissioned in Hesse

RWE reported on September 28, 2026, that it had commissioned its first photovoltaic plant in Hesse. The Sinntal facility in the Main-Kinzig district uses around 17,450 solar modules and can theoretically supply around 3,000 households with electricity each year, according to an RWE release.

The solar park covers around 10 hectares and has a capacity of around 11 megawatts peak, equivalent to around 9.5 megawatts AC. RWE said the municipality of Sinntal will receive up to EUR 24,000 in additional annual income through a payment linked to electricity production.
