Additive manufacturing milestone
Safran said its Additive Manufacturing Campus has reached its fifth year of operations. The campus has expanded serial production from five or six part numbers at launch to more than 25 and is managing around 100 development and industrialization projects, according to Safran.
The company said the campus delivered 15,000 parts in 2025 and expects to deliver 18,000 in 2026. Its workforce has grown from around 60 employees to more than 150, while Safran plans to eventually expand the Haillan site to as many as 250 employees, the company reported in the same release.
Industry award for Safran executive
Safran also reported that Elif Gürdal, vice president of Sales and Marketing Support and Services at Safran Helicopter Engines, received the Commercial Woman of the Year award at the Women in Industry Awards held in Paris on September 23. The award was presented by L’Usine Nouvelle and recognized her experience in the aerospace industry, Safran said.
