Saint-Gobain signed a renewable electricity purchase agreement with TotalEnergies for its industrial sites in the United Kingdom, according to an issuer release published on September 28, 2026. The agreement covers 60 GWh per year and will run for five years from April 2027. Saint-Gobain said the contract is its first agreement of this type in the country.

Agreement supports UK decarbonization

The contract is expected to cover more than 20 percent of Saint-Gobain's annual electricity consumption in the United Kingdom and is backed by guarantees of origin from local renewable-energy assets. The company said it already purchased certificates covering 100 percent of its UK electricity consumption in 2025. The company release said Saint-Gobain's global share of decarbonized electricity was 70 percent in 2025, compared with 39 percent in 2021.
