Samsung Electronics stock after-hours: USD 500 million Helix investment announced

The company said Samsung Electronics and five Samsung affiliates will invest a combined USD 1 billion in the AI infrastructure company established by KKR. Samsung Global Newsroom reported that KKR, the Kuwait Investment Authority, NVIDIA and Vistra are also founding investors.
Investment targets AI infrastructure
Helix is designed to provide integrated infrastructure covering hyperscale data centers, power generation, transmission and distribution infrastructure, and fiber-optic networks. Samsung Electronics said its Device Solutions division will contribute semiconductor expertise, while its Device eXperience division provides data-center cooling products and solutions through FläktGroup, which it acquired in 2025. One UI 9 rollout expands
In a separate September 16 announcement, Samsung Electronics said it had begun expanding One UI 9 to more Galaxy devices, starting with the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. The update includes features such as My FanCam, Generative and Editable Cards in Now Brief, Warranty and Care, and expanded security and privacy tools. Samsung Newsroom U.K.
