Samsung Electronics stock: company announces USD 1 billion Helix investment

Five other Samsung affiliates will provide the remainder of a combined USD 1 billion investment, according to the Samsung Global Newsroom.
Investment targets AI infrastructure
Helix, which launched in June 2026, is designed to provide integrated infrastructure across hyperscale data center development and operations, power generation, transmission and distribution, and fiber-optic networks. The company is led by Adam Selipsky, the former chief executive of Amazon Web Services, the Samsung release said.
Samsung affiliates join founding investors
Samsung Electronics, Samsung C&T, Samsung SDS, Samsung SDI, Samsung Life Insurance and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance are participating in the investment. KKR, the Kuwait Investment Authority, NVIDIA and U.S. power company Vistra are also founding investors in Helix, according to the Samsung Global Newsroom.
Samsung said the investment is intended to support global AI data center deployment with Helix and create collaboration opportunities among the participating affiliates.
