University project in Virginia
Skanska has signed a contract with the University of Mary Washington to build a new theater and renovate fine arts buildings in Fredericksburg, Virginia, according to its October 1, 2026, release. The contract is worth USD 163 million, or about SEK 1.5 billion, and will be included in U.S. order bookings for the third quarter of 2026.
The project includes a roughly 6,300-square-meter theater with a 293-seat performance hall, renovations covering 7,600 square meters and an 800-square-meter addition. Construction and renovation work has begun and is expected to be completed in February 2030, the Cision-hosted release said.
