The bonds represented a principal amount of EUR 280.10 million, or approximately 70.00 percent of the securities initially issued. The final repurchase price was EUR 138,487.00 per ORNANE, representing approximately EUR 388.00 million in total consideration.

SPIE said settlement of the repurchase was expected on October 1, 2026, subject to settlement of a new EUR 500.00 million sustainability-linked note issue due in 2032. The repurchased ORNANEs will be canceled, while the remaining 1,073 securities are scheduled for early redemption on October 22, 2026 at EUR 100,527.17 per ORNANE, including accrued interest, according to the same release.

Debt refinancing purpose

In a September 21, 2026 release, GlobeNewswire reported that SPIE intended to use proceeds from its sustainability-linked bond issue for general corporate purposes and the partial refinancing of existing Group debt, including the outstanding January 2028 ORNANEs.
